Starting up - The legal side of things

About the session

One of the first considerations when starting a business is what is referred to as legal status. In this workshop we will explore the three most common types of business formation, in the UK, starting with a sole trader (someone working alone) a partnership when another or more are brought into the business and finally a private limited company.

We will also cover the level of liability each affords a business to help you decide what is right for you and additional considerations like a community interest company or CIC for short which has been created to help businesses with a community focus.

How to register
